

My 10-year-old, however, found this scene to be silly and understood why Genie was so nervous to talk to Jasmine’s Handmaiden. Esuun didn’t understand what they were talking about or the point of the scene. My 6-year-old grew a bit bored between some scenes, for example, the newly added scene where Genie (played by Will Smith) visit’s Jasmine’s Chambers to speak to the handmaid. However, in this Live-Action version, they decided to beef up the storyline and include more talking scenes between the characters. In the animated version, there is a lot of colors and interactive scenes where younger kids would be more engaged. This film is completely safe for kids, however, I will admit there were some slow parts to the film.
